I saw this film the other day. I was wondering what people thought about it.

I'm a big James Ellroy fan and a big Brian de Palma Non fan so I was conflicted when this movie came out. Its relatively watchable, a bit too much angry sex scenes and over acting but it did tell the basic story of the book which is pretty out there. Fiona Shaw and Hilary Swank were the worst over actors but the others did their bit for histrionics.
