Buy a USB mouse. That's how I work with my Toshiba laptop. I currently work in 3D graphics so it's impossible to edit something with the touchpad on my laptop.

Practice.. It took me also some time to get used to it.
I did revolt it often and got an USB wireless mouse. But I have to use the pas on laptop often especially when my kids have hidden the wireless mouse. These USB mouse is not a good thing wth kids around. With lights flashing it looks like another toy.

You can buy little portable mouses on ebay or in stores that plug in the back cheap and small to take around with you or just a normal mouse will plug in!

Buy a laptop mouse or practice fine motor control - writing (with a pen) will help with that.

I had this problem too, just go out and buy a mouse and plug it in, or get a wireless one. ;-)

make sure that your mouse pad is clean (free of dust, grease, wetness etc.,) and that your fingers are clean (not sticky, wet etc,.).
Also, it needs some practice, so dont worry...keep practicing

water???????????? NOOOOOOO!!!!! use alcohol purely - the two IPA from pc keep, or methylated spirit from ironmongery keep, or while you're desperate, then try a splash vodka. in spite of you utilize, do no longer purely pour it on - damp a kitchen tissue and wipe the pad with that.

look underneet if it has a ball read the arrow, you could turn the bottom rim to take out the ball and clean it, look for lint ,close it back ,hope that work
