What truly drives people?

What inspires them, what is it that gives there life purpose? Is it all about money and power... or is there something deeper. Are people truly shallow or do they believe in the greater good?

The basic human need to survive; is what drives the human spirit! I'm not shallow, but character is almost a thing of the past! We live in a shallow kind of society these days! Sad, but true!
