There is no "normal." The data could be wrong or you may have a larger-than-average sized baby:)

There really is no normal. There are only averages. When I was in labor with my second child the nurse told my doctor that she thought the baby was too big and he'd have to take it. The doctor told her that he's the doctor and he knows best. He said I was just there 1 1/2 years ago having my first child and I was just fat! My kids are lacking 7 days from being exactly 18 months apart. Well, doctors don't always know because when I delivered my son's head my doctor freaked and told me that he might have to push him back in and do an emergency c-section. But, you know I was just really fat.LOL. My son weighed 9 lbs. 2 oz. Everone in the family had to come and see the freak baby because I'm not a very big person. Don't worry. As long as the baby is healthy, who cares if it's big.

shouldn't you be asking your doctor that question? Or even your mother. You're not gonna get a straight answer here. Well, you just might. You might be having twins who knows. Did you see yesterday's paper about the lady who gave birth to an 18 lb baby boy?
