Theres a guy that I have know for a long time who I have started to get to know a bit better lately! He always seems happy to see me! and gives me really great hugs, puts his are around me in company etc. But Im confused as he says he fancys some one else!(never to me though!) im just not sure if he wants to be friends or more! Can some one shead some light for me?

maybe he just wants to be very close friends with you.
my best friend is a guy and we always have our arms round each other... even in front of my boyfriend. he is like a big brother to me.
maybe he wants you in this way... who knows.
you can try talking to him and see what he really wants.
don't jump to conclusions until you know the facts.
a good friend who shows you lots of love in the way he/she hugs you is far more better than having them as a gf/bf.

It sounds as though he values your friendship. If you want it to be more than that, it's up to you to give him some clues. Bear in mind, though, that a good friend is worth far more than a lover. Taking it further often changes the relationship so that there is no way back.

Radio personality Tom Leykis once said something to the effect of that no guy ever wants to be just friends with a girl without the possibility in the back of his mind of getting laid. Thinking back to any guy friends I have ever had, that rings true, unless they were using me for when I used to toke years ago so they could come by just for that kind of sharing.

let him know wot ur feeling, coz it sounds lyk u mite b interested in him alot as well & he wont know until u tell him n u neva know, he mite jst prefer ur company, seein as he lyks bein around u, bt dnt let that put u off tellin him how you feel. hope dat helps X

i had a guy best friend like that. he was comfortable with as i was with him, but we honestly had no sexual attraction. we did more together than his girlfriend.
