My cycles are usually 26 days and my lmp was 12/9. I had intercourse on 12/24 (very late in the day) and than on 12/28 i had a few hours of spotting - if that was do to ovulation could i have gotten pregnant from 12/24?

it is possible, like the person above said, you can get pregnant anytime. if spotting occurred only 4 days later, it might be too soon to say that you're pregnant though, you could just be starting your period soon. things like that will drive you absolutely nuts thinking about it. Moreover, stress can sometimes delay your period as well. so don't worry about it just yet and see what happens.

I don't quite follow your dates, but with the number of days between 12/9 and 12/24 the answer is yes, you could be. the spotting can be from implantation of the fetus rather than ovulation. sperm could not live for 4 days.

The spotting may well have been "implantation spotting."

The best way to get pregnant, once you know your approximate day of ovulation, is to start having intercouse about four days before. Sperm that has survived four days is most likely female sperm (i.e., sperm with an X female sex chromosome) as male sperm tends to swim faster but die off more quickly.

I don't understand your dates but you can get pregnant at any time, wait for a missed period and take a test!!!
