When I was feeling overworked at a past job (my boss was really taking advantage of me) I finally had to just tell her that I was so stressed and exhausted that I felt like I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown (which was true) and I needed time off right away. I don't know the situation or what your reasons are for wanting a day off, but a lot of times, honesty really is the best policy.

I'm guessing your job isn't where you would rather be....So my advice would be to tell them you won't be coming back....!

What about teaching at a gym? Or even starting up your own?

There was no beginning to the universe and there will be no end and in all that 'time' there is only one of you. I'd say you should be and do that thing that no other in time could ever be!

Good Luck - follow your bliss!

Just simply tell your boss that you dont feel "right" coming into work today, because its such a BEAUTIFUL day and that you have plans to go fishing, golfing or some other wonderful activities and you may even ask him/her if they would like to join you, so you dont feel "too bad" that your going to miss work!

When they fire you, just smile, as now you have ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD to enjoy your days off :)

I wish you well..

Jesse

Let me just tell you that Karma will bite you in the butt whatever you do.

I called off, I woke up still drunk many years ago, and told my boss that my car was dead and we were charging the battery. I called when I had woke back up and said I'd come in because the battery was charged. The very next day my battery and altenater had to be replaced. lol that took some fancy explaining to do.

I got this 1, "VOMITING and DIARRHEA", my dad was a Dr. and my mom was a nurse, they always said if you want to call in sick for work, use this one, it sounds disgusting AND IS but, heres the "Capper", NOBODY WANTS TO CATCH THIS, so they will definitely say "STAY HOME", <------ Thinking man's way, to get out of work ;)

"I was just in a car accident..." (But you weren't driving...)

"Plublishers Clearing House Prize Patrol called me and they might be stopping by so I I can't come to work, just in case I miss them..."

"My mother in law is really sick and..."

"Look, I need a day off!"
