1) Learn and understand the structure of the exam and what information they require. Look at the marking scheme. Your teacher should have all this information and should go through it with you.
It is NOT cheating to understand how the examiner attempts to test your knowledge and reasoning!
2) Once you know HOW you should answer questions, do practice questions to prove to yourself and your teacher that you can meet all the requirements. It is in your teacher's interest to spend time with you helping you to get the best result you are capable of, so don't be afraid to ask for help!
3) Make yourself a revision timetable covering all the topics to be examined. Be practical about it, stick to it (and invent little rewards for yourself when you have completed sections - my brother put pieces of chocolate between the pages of his books!)
When revising, always make notes by hand, either on a notepad or on cards. They don't have to be very detailed but they should, if possible, be written in your own words and ideally should organise the information in your own way.
The act of writing information on paper increases your memory retention by at least 50% over just reading the book, so it is important to do this. You won't need to read your notes again, though they should be legible!

i would say definately don't use time when you should be doing homework or working on bigger projects to study. make time when you can, and study a little bit each day. if it's hard for you to remember what you've read or to apply it to a test or an exam, try making some study notes. get some cue cards and write one important point down on each one. you can add to each of them later if you need to. a few days before the exam, get them all together and organise them into groups of each topic. go over them all again, and, if your teacher has provided one, relate them to the questions on the exam prep sheet. i find asking a friend to ask me a few questions before an exam helps as well; since your friend may have a different idea of exactly what will be on the exam, it may help you to think outside of the box.
remember not to slack on schoolwork during the year, since it is often quite helplful to look back on for an exam, and to not cram it all in your head right before. take time to study, if you don't feel like it one day, don't bother. you probably wont remember much if you're just not in the mood or if you're having a bad day. getting a head start on studying will allow you days off. but remember to take time by yourself to absorb everything you've learned.
understanding is way more important than simply remembering.
good luck!! :)

Firstly, make a time-table to study and follow it strictly. Study different subjects on consecutive days so that you don't get bored of a single subject. Give more time for the harder subjects. And always always put in time for at least 2 to 3 revisions.

when you read, try to understand the meaning. Ask questions, note down the points for one lesson. After some time, try to recall the points. when you recall the points automatically the contents will pop up in your mind. Try to write. Do that for every lesson. Think you can do. This will take time,. Do it one by one. Keep it up. You will succeed and get high marks.
