Darth Maul,Qui Gon,and Obi Wan from episode 1. Everything about it just shines,even the bit with the shields between them that shows the radical difference of the Jedi mindset and the Sith without saying a word,Dath Maul just standing there enveloped in a hatred you can almost feel come off the screen and Obi Wan trying to focus and calm himself,the contrast is awesome and something good for those who came into the movie knowing nothing about the story behind Star Wars. Just too bad Maul's not around a little longer,he really was a great character,pure hatred made flesh.

For me it has to be the one in Episode 1 between Darth Maul, Obi Wan and Qui Gon. duel of the Fates music by John Williams really set it off. Such a shame Darth Maul was not in the movie for more time. His appearance in the first trailer made me salivate in anticipation. The double edged lightsabre was amazing. Other than that I think the duel between Darth Vader and Luke on Cloud City in Empire was great and extremely atmospheric, add " i am your father" and what an ending to a fight.

I liked Duel of the Fates from Ep. I: Obi-Wan & Qui-Gon vs. Darth Maul. But I also enjoyed Yoda vs. Sidious in Ep. III.

Got to be Darth Maul versus Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn in the Phantom Menace; best bit of the whole movie !

For atmosphere and sheer cinematic weight, it's easily Empire Strikes Back, that duel and the exchanges both verbal and physical are magnificent.
As far as technical, action-packed and fully fledged kick-***-ery are concerned its Phantom Menace, Darth Maul's Lightsaber, Ray Park's physicality and performance, minimal dopey dialogue and lots of brilliant wide camera shots so you can just watch how fierce this fight is.
Obi Wan and Anakin is a bit OTT and the dialogue during that fight ruins the atmosphere, "From my point of view the Jedi are evil!" why is the lord of all things dark and evil trying to explain himself?? Ruins it really.

My favourite Duel was that one too, until the fight between Master Yoda and Count Dookoo at the end of Star Wars Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith. Wow ! How good was Yoda. He is well 'ard !!

Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader that had the most emotion in it and when Luke then fights the emperor and Vader watches Luke die slowly at the emperors feet when Vader gets up and picks the emperor up and thows him off the balcony but then he dies. Thats really good and its the most emotional one you really get into it.
