I have a 95 Mitsubishi Montero SR with a lot of miles on it. The check engine light no longer means anything after 150,000 miles, but it drives me crazy. It comes on every 50,000 miles. Where do I reset it at & how much trouble is it?
Thanks!

You will notice a little rubber cap on the instrument panel of the dash.( Thats where all the speedometer and guages are ) Lift the rubber with a flat instrument and place a long tool like a thin screw driver or icepick down and touch the reset button. You may replace the cap to prevent dust from getting down there., Good Luck.

There usually is not a reset button. You usually have to hook the vehicle up to a scanner which will tell you why the light is on. You could try to reset it at this time but it will probably come back on until the problem is fixed.

there will be a reset sequence for example (toyota is hold down the mileage reset switch for 3 seconds.) just call the dealership and they will be happy to tell you over the phone.
