Every ending is the start of a new beginning. Without the end, there is no start.

for poster Liva how can you say the world will not end in her lifetime that is being very ignorant. I'm sorry but we can be killed all by nukes or comets. As well as typhoons and other natural ways that the earth can do us in. So dont state that the earth cant end in a heart beat. Every day that we breathe we should thank god for the chance to live another day. specially being the way we take care of earth so badly. As far as for your question poster. If you are talking about your own end. I'm sorry if you are facing this to begin with. But try to find whom ever you believe in "god" and know that they are the only one that can help you.
Talk to support groups or of if you are through hospice care talk to the team they have set in the plan meaning talk to your social worker and Chaplin and nurse and doctors.
I hope the best for you if you are facing this.
I don't know if you are talking about yourself or just asking.
If you are facing this i hope you the very best and i hope that we have a cure.
I also hope that you come out on top !
Take care and my best.

You sound sad. I hope I do not read too much into your posting, but it sounds to me like you know that someone very close to you, a child perhaps, is dying sometime soon and that there's is nothing you can do to stop that. If I'm misunderstadning skip down to the next answer because my comments won't be of much help.
Oh good, you were able to communicate effectively with me. Thank you.
Let's start at the end and work backwards; then we'll work forwards. When the end comes, what do your world-view beliefs tell you will happen when your loved one dies? Do you know? Do you have any beleifs? In this country it is common to beleive in some form of Heaven where the dead go when they die (there is also a prevelant view of hell, and other religions have their own beliefs for what happens at the point of death). I'm playing the odds here that I'm talking to a mother brought up in the traditional (pre-Vatican II) teachings of Roman Catholicism. The more wrong assumptions I make the less useful these thoughts are, so feel free to stop reading any time. If so, you have been taught (and hopefully even believe) a few things about the God of the Bible and His Son, Jesus who is our Lord and Savior, the Firstborn from Among the Dead. He said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for such is the Kingdom of Heaven." He also said, "If any one of you desires to be greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven you must become like one of these children." God promised to His chosen people that He would be their God and the God of their descendants after them for all generations. This is the same Father God whom Jesus assures us pays atention to us even when a hair falls from our head. Jesus came to show us the way to the Father and His Kingdom. "And if I go," He promised, "I will return and take you with me." Each of us has a private residence in Almighty God's house for eternity. And in that place there will be no more crying or pain. All will be exquisitely beutiful. If you have entrusted your child to Jesus' care he will never disappoint you. If you are relying on another religious conviction then you should do some loooking in your sacred texts and speak with your spiritual advisors to be sure you know what awaits your child.
Now let's work backwards. We know what the end is. We can actaully be certain that, if your child could choose today whehter to experience all eternity with you in heaven starting today or choose to go on suffering for days/weeks/months, he would almost certainly choose the former. So we must do everything we can to focus your child's attention on the future. Talk about and enjoy the memories of the past that you have together. Cherish the moments that you can share in making present memories. Share joyful anticipation about your eternal future together. Be honest that you will miss each other, but it will only be for a short while. What is even 100 years compared to all eternity?
Obviously I come from a Chirstian bias. I have followed Jesus all my life and, while I rarely know where He's taking me or why, He's always with me each step of the way. In my profession I help dying people, but it is more correct to say that dying people help me. Watch your child. You may just learn something yourself. If you come from a different worldview then all I have done is shared my story. You will have to start writing your own story. Find a trusted frined who shares your world-view, especailly an older friend who's been through life's tragedies and sort things out with her.
Peace. This is not peace as the world gives it (or demands that you find on your own). This peace I leave with you is from Father God Himself and it passes all understanding. May it guard your heart and mind. Peace.

Sweetheart what end are u talking about? ur end or the worlds end?
Please give more info so we can help
If ur talking about the world, its not gonna happen in ur lifetime, believe me.
If your talking about ur own end cos of illness my heart goes out to you. Its very unfair if this is the case.
I guess if I was in ur shoes and I knew my end was near, I would make the most of every day I had left, make a list of things I want to do
Talk to people I care about and tell them so
Make love to a gorgeous man
Get up early to see the sunrise
Eat and drink all my favourite things
The list is ur own to do what u want.

it means to believe that the person will move on to a "better life" it also means you have x amount of time to put your life in order.
as for a teen I understand how hard that is do deal with...life is not fair by any measuring.
one way to help accept is to bring God in your life He is very comforting..
I believe in reincarnation so i do not fear death I know that if I fail to learn the lesson I am here to learn I will have another chance.

Do you have any choice? When it's your time to go, you go...
Wether you think it's right or wrong doesn't change it.
