Becasue it is pants.
I must admit I have never had a crash with yahoo yet. May i suggest you do a virus scan.
Or explain a bit more about the crash such as freezing, server cannot be connected etc?

Yahoo crashes for me whenever I change connection from wireless to wired without closin all IM windows I have open. If I close them, it's fine.

Cant help you there, has never crashed for me once. Are your sure its not your setup / internet. Try un-installing it and doing it again.
