i understand that there are pedophiles out there but the world is a dark and horrible place sometimes. u cant be everywhere at all times and at the same time u cant allow these kinds of people to inhibit our society's ability to be creative and free. yahoo has shown time and time again how it will cave in to anyone who is throwing money at them wether it be pepsi or china. i think yahoo is a disgrace to this country and a shallow evil corporation. i wish i had millions of dollars so i could throw it at yahoo to stop encouraging communist ideas and censoring its users.

thank you

I am not in anyway connected with Yahoo but the fact that your question has been allowed to be posted is proof that they are democratic. And Democratic is opposed to Communist, hence being private and in the land of a Democratic Country, they would not allow anything that would undermine the democracy that they are enjoying. Why don't you try to request China for a fund to raise your own website to promote communism? Good Luck!

Yahoo should remain free and a forum that differentiates itself from the rest. In a world where almost all media bends to the will of the governments of the day, we need to have the internet as a last free means of expression, and once we lose that we are truly doomed.
People in China should be able to access all of yahoo content as do the rest of us and determine for themselves what opinions to hold.
A country with such a high population wil only get more difficult to control in such retarded ancient ways so, yahoo ought to join the chinese populace on their march towards free information, not hinder it.

If I were to put up a bulletin board & invite people to post notes, pictures, thoughts, etc. I'd have every right, as the owner of the bulletin board, to take down what ever pictures I felt like! If YOU put up a bulletin board, I'd have NO right to go rip stuff off of it! (Unless it was libelous of me, I guess)

And if Pepsi was sponsoring my bulletin board, I might choose to take off any advertisements for Coke. That would be my right as the owner of the board & it would not be a violation of free speech.

(although it might be a poor or unethical decision)

Yahoo is a free forum for questions and answers but it has the right to suppress violations of freedom of expression if they feel that it is oppressive to people and other entities like governments.
