Yes, this is the age of big business in sport. The heavyweights are takign over the cluns and ploughing through their agendas. The traditional spirit of sport is slowly dying out as wealth and big cheques become the priority.
Take for example football, where top players now all flock to the big money clubs, irrespective of whether it means sitting on the bench because there are too many players playing that position.
The money comes first for them, there is no other explanation as to why one would throw away a promising career to sit on the bench of some big club.

Absolutely not.

Just as a business man/woman is interested in money he/she is also interested in their business. Without the one there is no other.

The sports player that makes good money is the starter on a pro team and everyone is looking to take his/her spot.
