I think TV has a lot to do with it.
Shows about kids disrepecting their parents are the norm.
Mean people seem to get laughs so that is what they go for.
Please and thank you - not needed.
Also - too much bashing of our President. We look like a country divided to the rest of the world. You don't have to agree with him but you SHOULD respect his position as our leader.
Too sad.

A majority of people are "out of the moment" and controlled by the mind which is constantly obsessed with past and future, and see's the current moment as a means to an end. Once your identified with your mind in that way, the mind seeks your constant attention, and it can be negative or positive behavior, good / bad, these are both man made illusions. Hope this helps :)

It comes from a lack of discipline as a child i think... i always got a smack or talking to if i was rude or disobeyed my parents... I don't think there's anything wrong with me if anything i'm too meek and mild. Parents these days don't seem to care. When kids get older i think some of them get that "I'm better than everyone else" feel and they don't care about anyone but themselves... which i think leads to a lonely life

I agree with you. Maybe you should start a 'mutual respect' day campaign. Respect for ourselves and each other is the cornerstone of society. Well said, and thank you for the question, Mr President of the Mutual Respect Campaign, sir!!

I think you need to learn how to respect others before you go around judging others doesnt your own bible say take the thorn out of your own eye before the plank out of others. damn christians are such hypocrites.

Bush is a dictator not a president, BTW you have to give respect to get respect, it should be earned.
