Make sure they know how you feel and if there okay with it why cant you be?Besides most people just want to here themselves talk, and what better than a friend who listens and doesnt interupt.ill be honest though with the length of your question i find it hard to believe that tou dont have anything to say.

Honestly I feel the same way, my friends always try to talk to me I'm always quiet. Not like I am not interested what they have to say I just don't have a response. I don't like to be around people really although I am all of the time. No one knows this and I talk a lot and everytime I go out it's a struggle for me as well. Funny, today I went to Safeway to buy ice cream I was CRAVING and i had to CONVINCE myself to go because I knew there would be people there and the clerk asked how I was doing I was like "SHOCKED IN PLACE" barely said "fine" I dunno what's wrong with me either. I might have some kind of a problem? I dunno it happened ever since my EX LOVE dumped me 1 and a half yrs ago I am 20 now, and still didn't recover. I'm sorry, I don't know what to do either =( Best of luck to you!

Wow, sorta sounds like me! I feel for you girl! Is it related to shyness? Anxiety perhaps?
I find that when I'm around people...even certain family members and close friends, I become anxious when talking and begin to feel uncomfortable. I am a very friendly person and probably seem social but... inside it's all a bag of nerves.
I'd advise you to do what makes you comfortable. If you talk talk talk when you really have "nothing to say" you will come off as more of a fool than if you're just yourself.
Best wishes and take care! ;-)

Why do you need to be the one to initiate and continue the conversation? Don't you realize that by behaving the way you are, you attract those who only talk when they are spoken to, and those who want to listen to others?
You need to change your approach, by asking more questions than volunteering more information, in your interactions. Let the others talk. Keep quiet if necessary. Then you don't have to be so stressed!

One thing you can do is ask questions, people love it when you ask questions, and it doesn't require to talk that much, please make sure you listen to the answers, there is nothing worse if you ask and then appear bored when they talk. You will have no trouble with going out . It is worth the try

You don't have to talk all the time, no one will think you're boring. Get involved in stuff you like to do on your own and then you'll really have something to tell your friends when you go out.
