a slight point is okay, but when the shoe sticks out 3 inches in front of where your toes are that's retarded, and to me looks stupid as hell, i hate those, don't care for round to to much, haven't seen JS's shoes so ? Platforms or none, both depends on occasion and attire.

Not sure what your question is here...I suggest you buy Glamour Magazine. They recently had a supersize edition with some very cool shoes in there. Plats and normal heels.
I will tell you what I do know about shoes as I worked in a high end boutique for ten years+. Pointy toes make your feet look bigger. Particularly, they make them look longer. If you are short and/or overweight at all, DO NOT WEAR POINTY SHOES! You will look like a duck.
People who can wear those are tall women with smaller feet. This helps to even out their feet and their height. They look good with bootcut pants because just the tip shows and that gives a sleek look. It's a style. Fashion is pushing this skinny jean trend, but the truth is that a bootcut is much more flattering. And pointy toes do look good with that cut of jeans or slacks. They do NOT go with a business skirt or truly classic suit.
Women with big feet (or who think their feet look big) should wear a square or round toe. The square toe is very blunt and really makes the foot look smaller. A round toe will look nice, too, but won't cut the line of the foot. What you want if you are looking for this style is (think of sculptured nails) you don't want a square that is 100%. You won't be able to walk in them. You trip on the pointy sides. Get a square toe with rounded corners. There is a beautiful pair of Yves Saint Lauren in that Glamour mag. They are platforms, too.
Speaking of platforms, this is a personal choice and style. I am very short and love platforms. But some of them are stupid and cheap looking. I have to spend $$ to get a pair that looks right. Prada makes amazing platforms and so does YSL. They have a very small platform in the front which is there to give a woman a little extra height. If you get those, you have to spend the money. We're talking $450-$650 a pair. But that's where the platforms you will love are.
I just spent $40 on a pair of Michael Antonios-bad mistake. Not made well and difficult to walk in. They were a fabric, so I thought they'd be alright, but they are terrible. You have to get good shoes or forget it.
The big fashion now is the Bruges-CL sells them-NOT cheap. $500. But they are hot. And the Designer ones will last. They are a stacked wooden heel with the upper leather. Beautiful.
I support the plat because short people can't buy legs. But tall flat chested girls can buy boobs. It's not fair!
So at least we can get platforms.
Good luck with your shoe dilemma! The thing to do is try on different types of shoes. Realize what the style of the outfit is and and match to the outfit. You have to buy the ones that fit right and look fabulous. That's the pair to get.

I personally don't like platforms. I believe high heel round toe court shoes are really in, they look good with jeans/skirts/dresses. But wear strappy high heeled shoes if you are going out for formal eves,.. do make sure that yur feet are well pedicured as else they might look awful otherwise..

Platforms are clumsy.
Stiletto high heels ia way to go for a sexy look. Yes, pointed toe, of course. However, I have really cute pair of slip-ons with round open toe. I think they are like 4 inch, but very comfortable.

I'm a guy, and personally, I don't like long nails. I know a lot of like long, painted nails cause they're "so pretty", but I don't like them.

A little bit of nail is fine... but I agree with you. Long nails are kinda gross.
