If someone says, "She could even make a burlap sack look good" or something similar, it's a figure of speech that just means that the woman is so good looking that she would still look good, even if she were just wearing a plain burlap sack (like a potato sack). So, she wouldn't even have to be wearing fancy clothes or jewelry... she would still look great.

first of all.. NO... i trained in shaolin kongfu for 5 years... we also did something like this.. But once your knuckles start to bleed that's when you stop. and treat your hands with care. Then you can slap and back slap the burlap sack until your knuckles are recovered... And you dont start punching until you master the slapping techniques.. i got up to the lv where i was punching wooden blocks without busting open my hands.. TOOK 2 YEARS TO GET TO THAT LV. my advice dont be dumb... use common sense and take care of your hands..

Really, Really bad idea. These kinds of bad ideas come out of movies that are made up themselves by people that only want to make a movie, not portray anything accurate. To do what you propose would cause scars. Scars tend to be more easily torn open again. building scar tissue is a really bad idea. Instead of making your hands tougher, it does exactly the opposite. And, also makes for ugly scars that are not going to go away. ...
