Sounds like she has a cold. Don't let her back over there for a while or make them turn the heat up. Use a nose bulb to suck out some of it but don't put it in there very mush just enough to get a little suck. I would call her doctor and make an appointment just to check her out for sure when there that young they always check them out if they don't get a new doctor. Best of Luck

First, take the baby's temp. If it's high at all, take her to the doctor first thing in the morning. Second, talk to the doctor's nurse yourself & tell them if the baby's acting wierd, if they feel cold or clammy, if they are crying more than normal. It's normal to get worried over nothing, but you're always better off having it checked out by a doctor & preventing a small medical problem from becoming a big one. One more thing, NEVER give a kid any kind of medicene or natural cure that somebody on a web site like this tells you to. There are a lot of sick twisted people out there. There is also a lot of well meaning people who might give advice that can hurt your baby. That's what your doctor is for. Good luck

you can do something theres always something ok,you can try nasal drops ,you buy them from the chemist and drop 2 or 3 drops of salt water down her nose, or alternatively and cheaper!, ask the chemist for some "saline water and a 5ml syringe,( they come without the needle) so dont stress!! and suck up a couple of mls and slowly drop that down her nose with both you need to lie her on her back and tilt her head back slightly, very easy at this age she may splutter and carry on but this will loosen the mucous and then you can suck some out with the syringe. also keep her warm obviously and rub some tixylix or vix on her chest. if you can get a hold of a vapourizer this will work wonders place it in her room about 1.5 mtres from her bed with eucalyptus oil or tea tree in the top, this will also help her breath easier and you can both sleep better. at this age there are no "medicines" for her yet , but thisll do the trick! good luck

I'm from Greece and we have at the drug store tiny Little plastic bottle with clean water in them that you pore with rush into the baby's nose and everything that's clogged in there comes out. There is also a spray with ocean water which is also good. You have the baby lying in you lap(its back on your knees)spray it into the baby's nose and immediately turn it over with its tummy on your knees and everything will just come out because the baby will sneeze. You might feel as though your torturing it but its nose becomes free and its able to breath again.Good luck.

Is she 3 weeks old or 3 years old? I am confused.
Anyway, if you are concerned just take her in. They can't refuse to treat her because they don't think there is nothing that can be done.
Is there a color to the nasal drip? If its clear then there is no infection. Is she running a fever? How does her chest sound?

Is she 3 weeks or 3 years?
My son had a terrible runny nose for weeks, I took him to the Dr on quite a few occasions, they said it was a lil cold and not to worry. About 3 weeks later he began wheezing. I took him to the ER right away and he was diagnosed w/ RSV. ( Respiratory Syncytial Virus) He was in the hosiptal for 3 days. They gave him breathing treatments and watched him respirations. Basically it is a very bad cold for newborns. I would highly suggest you take her to the ER.

Ask your doctor if you can use Saline drops for her nose. If s/he says yes you may even want to bring in the baby to the dr. office so they can show you how to administer it. It should be safe b/c it's just water and salt, but with a baby this young you really want to follow your doctor's advice.
