This is one of the big questions that challenged the writers to answer it from the beginning. The heart and the brain don't think alike. Because people tend to listen more their heart or their brain, the Age of Reason or the Age of Sensibility make perfect sense. The heart and brain think as they are let free to do it. A person who inhibits his heart to speak will never ask himself/herself this question and the other way around. I vote for the heart in most of the cases...

Well, when we say "your heart knows," we are speaking metaphorically; the blood pump is, after all, a blood pump. It is not actually the seat of emotions; it's just convenient to locate them there. Actually, it is a still lower chakra that does most of the feeling, come to that.

But Mother Nature put your brain at the top, and the more sensual, emotional organs lower down. That's because we are supposed to THINK about what we feel. Let the lower chakras inform the brain what feels good, what feels bad, but the brain must make the decisions.

Hearts do not have any neurons for interacting
Its our brain whose doing all the orchestrating
sending all sorts of signal to the whole body to function or disfunction as it sometimes do which are baffling doctors,
they can't find the problem which some insist it is there.
Example everyone swear that a full moon is so huge until it gets smaller when its high over head, why is it so?
The distance between and size never change.
Its our brain playing tricks with our eyes

the heart does not think...it feels. The problems arise when the brain starts thinking for the heart.

Your brain tells you what you want to hear at the time and your heart lets you know what you truly want.

No, what is referred to as the heart is really a compilation of multiple, non-brain driven, processes.

Similar to old mind - body debate.
