I have been divorced for almost 11 years now, I had chosen to keep my married name for the sake of the kids that I would have the same as them....but now I have been feeling to change it back to my maiden name to bring me back to the original state that I was,....my father's daughter

its $20.00. that's assuming you were divorced in CA and still live in CA. fill out this form.....http://www.courtinfo.ca.gov/forms/documents/fl395.pdf
pay your tweny bucks and wait for the judge to sign it. done deal. cake!! places like DMV and Soc Sec will need a certified copy for all their business to change your info. a certified copy will be $15 dollars

Use of the surname of the man after marriage is just a privilege and not mandatory. You can revert back to your maiden name because it is even the right name as it appears on your birth certificate.

Should be free in CA if you say something during the divorce. It should only cost you the amount of a new driver's license and the price of new checks.
