I heard two stories from reputable people with spooky stuff to say about the house after they were permitted inside.

I have a good friend that used to party there as a teenager when it was empty. She says some pretty freaky stuff went on inside that house.

actually the family that lived there after the murders never said it was a hoax. Whether a person can beleive the ghostly going-ons in the house, they cannot deny that the family NEVER said it was a hoax. The Hoax myth was a fabricrated myth that has got spread around to the point people think it's true.

From Wiki:

George Lutz maintained that events in the book were "mostly true" and denied any suggestion of dishonesty on his part. In a television interview with the History Channel broadcast in October 2000 he commented: "I have never said it was a hoax and I never will, because it is not a hoax. That doesn't mean that everything that was ever said about it was true, but it is certainly not a hoax. I wish it was. It's not."

I do not know what to think about it. I have not been to the house, but would like to one day. There are stories that have been told that are based on reality. But NOONE knows for sure if something is actually happening. The reason for this is people have gotten into the mind frame that if something paranormal happens to you then you are a freaki of nature. I have actually had people tell me that I am crazy and actually mean it. If you want to know for sure then you need to see for yourself.

It was all hookem. The people that made up that story just wanted to get out of the contract. No one since has had so much as a boo. Also, that "room" in the basement has never been seen by anyone else. It's all bulls**t

They're lying to you, or it's just psychosomatic.

The family that lived in there and claimed it was haunted admitted it was all a hoax. Quite a few years ago at that.

Nothing creepy going on in that house. It's just a house that this family tried to exploit- and succeeded on exploiting- for money.
