If superior beings existed...given the sheer cruelty that is the essence of Nature...these beings ultimate intent would be to do what they will to us irrespective of whether we like it or not. Of course, this might change after said aliens sign a treaty with Jesus, Santa Claus, Tinkerbell, and all the other mythic beings we claim are helping us right now.
