Lie detector are not useful since they are not immiscible in trial.
I would ask the coroner for the toxicology reports.
For example, let us say that the boy was doped up by some type of drug. You will ask yourself , was the boy able to jump out. Were the drug levels too high which he could have been unconscious and was pushed. It is natural for a human being to try to brake their fall. Is there any abrasions on the palms of his hands? If not, this could be a sign of foul play. Where did the boys drag him from? Was there any evidence taken from the scene. How far did the boy who died skid across the ground. Through mathematics, forensics can determine how fast the Nissan was going.

If some of these questions were not answered than the police did not follow basic investigation procedure. You can file a complaint with other authorities including the FBI and Internal Affairs. You can also call the district prosecutor.

The Sherriff's Dept wouldn't be able to talk about open investigations. The probably don't have enough evidence for the prosecuter's office to prosecute. You probably won't be able to see the boys' statements because there isn't a statue of limitation for murder and they may be able to press charges later on. As for a lie detector test, the boys would have to be willing to take the test and even if they could, the test results will not be admissable in court due to the low accuracy rate.

Sounds like you need to request a new autopsy. say you dont settle well with the conclusions. Get a new one. maybe the first is right. but see for your self ask for an independant if nothing less. observe the body before after during autopsy too, all the body ask them to turn it, the body that is. take pictures too. as you view the body,In US this is all legal and usually due proocess. God bless the USA. a real country with freedom and liberties.
Note: you cant do this with a body in conflict, a death in war times body.

Get a good lawyer to assist you in your legal requests. Also, if you could afford, hire a private investigator to review all the exam results and circumstances leading to the cause of death.

All this explanation is very nice, but I doubt the sheriff's department said he jumped. What they most likely said was there was not enough evidence to charge the other two little darlings.
