That happened to me. I felt as if I was betraying my country you know. But then look at it this way.(Taking that you are born in England) You would not be an England supporter if it wasn't your home country. True football fans can support great teams other than their home teams if they like. (Though supporting your own country gives you so much more passion and excitement). But remember after choosing one team to support you should stick to it and not switch when the performance is low!

The idea behind supporting a team is to stand by them through the good times and probably more importantly... the bad. I support Australia and have so my whole life - 2 - 3 years ago they were no where near the team they should have been but I never abandoned them or jumped ship for a better team. I also support Italy and Croatia because that's my blood, even though Croatia had a shocking campaign - worse than Englands... I stood by them... When Italy wasn't playing to the standard that was expected of them... I stood by them. England doesn't have to perform for you to get your support, that's not how it works.

its not only about winning or doing well. winning is important but its not the everything. if u support a team, u stand by them thru thick and thin. bandwagon fans arent football fans, they just want to be "cool" by supporting the team every1 is talkin about

just because another team is doing better than your country's national football team,it doesn't mean that you need to support that team..first,support your own national team..then,if your national team lose to another team, perhaps you might want to consider supporting other team..I don't blame you if you want to do so..it's the passion for football you're having..but,what's best is to keep supporting your team..winning does not matter..only great sportsmanship and great passion for football that matters! keep on supporting your team..never leave your team behind..!
