I have a three year old male Sugarglider. Is he too old to mate ? or will he be agressive if i introduced a younger female in his terroritory. He's friendly and easy to handle. Worried about doing the wrong thing by mating him.

3 years old is fine for mating - just make sure you do the proper introductions, and make sure the female is AT LEAST a year old, any younger and he will just be injuring her because she will likely not be mature.

For introductions, I put a smaller cage with my new male in it inside a larger cage with my 2 females. I swapped a few pouches so they could get each others smell and then introduced them all face to face during tent time. This allowed me to supervise for an hour for a few nights before I was comfortable leaving them all together alone.

Three years old is not very old for this wonderful animals and I would try and find a female of at least one year old for him. Any younger and he may do her some harm trying to mate.

the link above states that they have about a 15 year lifespan... so i think 3 years old shouldn't be considered old. I would go ahead with mating them.
