The best movie that I have seen is probably
Fight Club (Edward Norton, Brad Pitt) or American History X (Edward Norton, Edward Furlong)
Both are Rated R, both have sex, alot of violence in both, Fight Club is a head trip the first couple of times that you watch it, and believe me, you have to watch it more than once, otherwise you think that you are the one going crazy. Am Hist X is a good story about a racist Skin Head, VERY GOOD STORY.
However, for your age group, I would suggest some of the other movies that I like, that are more age appropriate.
(yes, i realize that is is a kid movie, but I liked it ( I am 20))
Hoodwinked, (just saw it for the 1st time today)
Older movies that are good, are
The Three Amigos
Out Of Time
Man On Fire
Paycheck
Cellular
Wallace & Grommit (kids movie, though some inuendos)
ANYTHING Adam Sandler
Joe Somebody
A Walk to Remember is one of the best movies of all time.
Good Luck with your Movie Viewing, don't burn the popcorn.

Most of my favorite movies are out based on your criteria,I have one,it's recent it's thought provoking if you pay close attention and it's in a way very relevant to our times. But it is R rated so you have to get past that hurdle, but I think it has a pretty good message in the end. V For Vendetta,it's well worth watching, it has some violence but it's not gratuitous and no real sexual elements. If you haven't seen it I would say it's a good one to see.

Pulp Fiction(you're asking which is the best movie I've seen, right?). Great (but very confusing the first time) story, does have tons of swearing(maybe almost TOO much), uhh drugs/violence stuff; it's rated R for a reason, basically. Great movie anyway.

Amelie is definitely in the top 5. Try the 90's Romeo and Juliet.

Forrest Gump! That's the sweetest movie I've ever seen. And, of course, it has my favourite actor, Tom Hanks.

you could either watch Four Brothers or Waist Deep. I found them outstanding movies.
Four Brothers is about four adopted brothers that get revenge on their adopted mothers death.
Waist Deep is about a man trying to get his son back from kidnappers that have him for a ransom.
