I prefer gmail because of the size of the storage, conversation-style of email formats, able to chat within gmail and most of all the free forwarding service

g-mail is supposedly the best, however, I have only used Hotmail, and Yahoo!.
I have 3 accounts, all on yahoo, and they work for what I need.
It has been about 2 years since I have used Hotmail, and AOL is just full of bad memories with high bills so I do not know.
The only way to get G-mail is for someone that has it to invite you.
Just remember the Google motto. "Do not be evil" They try to have the best products, and with what people want, without all the stupid ads, even in searches, they tell you which ones people paid for ("sponsored searches") instead of mixing them in with the real results like yahoo, Ask, msn and the others do.

I like Hotmail because there are no Advertisements, so I can use it for professional work. Although storage is less, it's enough for my present work.
Yahoo Email simply sucks, the only good feature it has is NOTEPAD. I prefer Yahoo Messenger to MSN though.
Gmail is good for keeping tab with all friends
Not much idea on AOL.

I like Yahoo first, then prefer gmail.

Gmail is the best. It offers a huge storage space for free, you also have POP3/SMTP access for free, and it wors like a charm on mobile devices: http://m.gmail.com (XHTML browser recommanded).
