I disagree with the "rich snobs" mentality... I'd buy one if I had the budget. My mother bought a really nice Lexus USED for about the price of a new Honda Civic. We bought a used Acura when I was little and it lasted for a good while. The "certified pre-owned" (fancy name for "used") Lexus came with a good warranty and has been extremely reliable. My (purple) Dodge Neon, on the other hand, has given me nothing but problems. It was used and the only affordable option, but it's been more in repairs than a better car would've been.

I'll never buy new... it isn't worth it to have the value drop by driving it off of the lot (when the test-driven models have higher mileage... heh).

People who can afford to live comfortably often indulge on such vehicles. These cars can be leased or purchased.
