Brian Gerard James is the youngest son of wrestling patriarch Bob Armstrong and has three elder brothers (Brad, Scott and Steve) who are also wrestlers. James served in the United States Marine Corps from 1987 to 1993 and fought in Operation Desert Storm in 1991 where he was a platoon sergeant in command of 33 Marines. During his recruit training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island in Parris Island, South Carolina, James was named Honor Man. Six months after receiving his discharge in 1993, James began wrestling.

His name is BG james, in TNA his real name is Brian Gerard James, He has used many name's since he started wrestling in 1993 when he left the marine's Brian Armstrong The Dark Secret The Roadie Jesse James Armstrong "Road Dogg" Jesse James B.G. James And as far as am aware he is staying in TNA sum more imformation on him Born May 20, 1969 Marietta, Georgia Resides Pensacola, Florida Trained by Bob Armstrong Debut 1993

He worked in the Brig. Kind of like a prison guard. Whenever we would watch wrestling in the brig, they would always talk about him. Was in the Marine Corps and was in the brig for a short period of time.
