I don't think it matters if a person is single or married. A religious person believes that there is a need to connect to God at all times, single or married.

However, I believe that a person needs to try harder to be religious when married. People need to bring themselves closer to God. When married, they have a family. They raise kids. They need to get all the strength possible.

I think this question is sort of ridiculous, but then I suppose if I think that, I'm sort of ridiculous for answering it. When you are married, are you not still one person? Or do you meld into the other person and lose yourself completely? I think there is always a part of us, nomatter HOW close we are to another person, that is or should be independent. If you always retain your independence, you should be able to connect with whatever you want nomatter whether you're married or single.

If you let a relationship get in the way of who you are and what you believe, then you're either not ready for a relationship, or you're not worthy of your beliefs. You can't connect with yourself, how do you expect to connect to god?

it depends.... company can fasten or weaken your relation to God. Meaning that your partner may be a reason to have a better relation with God if he/she is religious and influencing at the same time.
But if the are not, and influencing... then they'll pull you down!
