anyone know of any free spyware remover?

my computer says there is spyware/adware on my pc and can't afford to buy any software to remove it any help would be much appreciated

Spybot Search and Destroy

Ad-Aware
You can download both as they will not interfer with each other and what one won't get the other will.

That one answerer suggested "Spysweeper" but I think it's only the trial version that is free. But a great site to find and get information on how the professionals and consumers rate the anti-spyware and anti-virus downloads they have is: http://www.cnet.com. I've downloaded excellent anti-spyware from the many they offer.

hi, perhaps you can try Norton to remove the virus and protect your PC. but you need to pay for the software

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can disable all virus to run, because the virus can only run on IE.

besides, firefox can block any any poppus and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE. as you know, most of the virus is spread throught internet and webpage.

firefox is much smaller than IE, so i run faster than IE.
