It is just the way most of us are wired. First off we are pretty sure we are right about everything, and then secondly, men want to solve your problems. We think if we fix everything for you then you won't have to sit around and talk about the same old crap over and over again. Men solve and women feel. That is basically how it works. All men are jerks... some of us work on it and evolve, some never do and get divorced three times.

My husband does not tell me he asks me, unless it is pertaining to business he wants handled a certain way. I always ask him and never tell him. We have a mutual respect and love for one another. But, he is the man of the house and I respect what he does tell me to do. He pays the bills and has final say in the financial matters. If something cost over 50.00 we ask before it is purchased. If I need money he lets me have what I need. This way there are not two people taking out of the account. We run our marriage according to Gods plan in the Bible. Men are the natural leaders of the home. If society would
give husbands that responsibility back, instead of women trying to run the homes. I believe marriage and family would be stronger. Women are supposed to listen to their husbands and help them and husbands are supposed to take care of their wives, both are supposed to love each other and no other.

I think its both ways. Thinking positively I would say that both men and women become possessive for each other after marriage and try to make each other as perfect as possible. Rather I would say that marriage is an institution where u learn all the hard lessons of life.

Because men will always be men (or boys). This is just how they are and feel they must be the man of the house. How far they get with their wives depends on their women's abilities to stand up against them.

Men are wired for solving problems. It's not a flaw. It's how men are. So when a man gives directions, advice, what-have-you, he's being a man. Decide to get over it or live celibate and get a dog for a companion.

Yes... but the strangest thing by far is that when you are in a long term relationship (marriage or otherwise) they always tell you the time..... have you noticed that....
Your alarm goes off....and they prod you and say it's 6 o'clock... and all you want to say... is yes I know you pr.ick, I set the alarm.
And they do it constantly throughout the day too.... you see if I'm not right!!!
But... sorry going back to your question... do they? I haven't experienced that... the way to overcome it of course, is just not to stop talking, don't let them get a word in edgways... problem solved.

It sounds like you married a control freak. Get some counseling even if he won't go with you.
