Agoraphobia s not good in any degree or on any plane or level. Mine started about five or more years before I realized that I could not leave my home without getting uptight, or just coming unglued over something.
Mine is caused by years of things going wrong and not feeling as if I could do any to control them.Only time I could be outside of my home, was if I was working. Which was as a food server, bartender, cashier. Sounds odd and appears to make little or no sense to most.
What am I doing about it? I leave the house on my terms only. Never because I have to. If something freaks me out, I get to safety first then I figure out how I could of dealt with it in the most positive way I could, yet realize some people in their nature will react negative no matter who or what is affected. Some are so self centered as in the opposite of Agoraphobics!

not agoraphobic, but surely phobic in general ! agoraphobic is where you can't be in a crowd right ; from all the fears i've faced, i guess that's no big deal ! i'm kidding.any phobias can be really tiring, you have to take small steps and think that nothing is going to happen and everything is in our little heads.and once you've thought of it seems as if it's really happening then you experience a panic attack and that's why you can't be in a crowd.you think that you 'll experience it there.
