The correct answer is C. An increase in the supply of grapefruit juice, since it would likely make grapfruit juice drinkers turn to orange juice due to the higher prices of grapefruit juice.

A...A decrease in oranges does not raise demand for oranges.
B...A decrease in the cost of transporting oranges does not raise the demand, unless that decrease in cost of transportation resulted in a decrease of overall cost oranges (which is very likely)
C...A decrease in the price of grapefruit juice would probably make the demand for oranges go down. People would buy the cheaper grapefruit juice.

Are you trying to quiz people for fun, or is this question on a test for school or something. If it is on a test, my answer is correct. So feel free to use it.

I noticed people are saying A, B, or A and B.
But A, a decrease in the supply in oranges, only puts a strain on the existing demand. It DOES NOT make the demand go up. It would result in higher prices, and make the demand go down.
And B, a decrease in the cost of transporting oranges, will also not directly increase the demand unless there was a resulting price drop due to that decrease in cost. If the price did drop, more people would buy, thus there would be more of an increase. But the "most correct" answer, as I've seen it worded on some tests, would be C.

C. If the price of grapefruit juice goes up, people will want to buy something else. None of the others would increase the DEMAND, i.e. how many people want to buy it.

B-the cost of transportation would decrease therefore the overall price would decrease, therefore more people would buy the orange juice.

C.

The demand will stay the same unless something makes people want it more, like say grapefruit juice costs going up.

Answer is "C". because if grapefruit juice becomes costly, the consumer will try to switch over to orange juice. hence its demand will increase.
