I need a directx7 or 9 video card to play a computer game where do I get them and how much are they?

First, see what kind of graphics card is supported on your motherboard. Look in your motherboard manual. It should be AGP or PCI Express. There are also 2 different kinds of slots for AGP, so you have to select the right one.

I guess you want to upgrade because your built-in video card doesn't support 'Hardware Lighting & Transformation,' right?
Well, just don't get caught up in the hype that you should pay over $250 for a video card if you don't play too many games.
I don't play too many 3-D games, so I just have a crappy AGP 8x video card based on the NVIDIA 5200 chip (It cost me $50 CDN). It's old, but games allow you to de-select certain 3D effects to make the game run faster.

directx7 or 9 is a software which you can download from the net and install. This will enable you play certain video games which use it. There is no need for buying any separate video card.

youmust firstly download the latest drivers for your video card from you video adapter web site.Then install the latest directx drivers.
