You tell the landlord, and they say there is nothing they can do about it. They blame it on the rain!

D-Con, sticky traps, and traditional traps have not worked. Do I have to pay my rent? Can I call the Health Dept or something?

I am getting VERY sick, and wonder if I can attribute it to the rodents.

Call your Health Department. Mouse droppings are very toxic, especially dried droppings. They turn into dust droppings that when swept up which goes in your lungs.Health Dept. will be on your side and should be able to convince landlord it is in his best interest to get rid of them.

Be sure that all possible sources of food are removed from access to the mice. Then try the D-Con again liberally. Keep putting out the D-Con and you should solve your problem

If there are droppings you may want to spray them with bleach or fumigate the place. Also it might be a good idea to call a professional exterminator but try the D-Con again

My guess is you must pay the rent.

Call the health department and get checked by a doctor...and make sure you file a complaint about your landlord to the proper authorities and if the problem continues you should move a.s.a.p.

Don't leave any food out for them, not even a crumb. Keep food in tightly-closed containers where mice can't get at it. Keep coutertops, tabletops, stovetops, floors, etc. clean and free of food residue. Keep garbage containers tightly closed. Then put out some mousetraps until they are gone.

If you deny them access to food, mice have no reason to hang around.

Try to look online for the renters rights in your specific case, and see what you can find there. I would also call the health department, if they can't do anything about it then maybe they can at least point you in the right direction.
