Do the facts that a new red spot (Red Spot Jr. or Little Red Spot)appeared on Jupiter, and record breaking hurricanes (Wilma for example) recently appeared on Earth say anything about the fate of our solar system or our planet, in the short term or long term? And can they be explained in terms of solar phenomena?

I didn't ask about warming. I asked about storm systems and hurricanes. If they ARE caused by global warming, then please back that up with evidence. The Earth and Jupiter have one thing in common, the sun. There are other things that come from the sun other than heat, like the solar wind (interstellar gasses) for example (not to be confused for "wind" on a planet).

Thanks for the answers, so far. But my curiosity hasn't been cleared up yet. So far there is "no best answer", but Yahoo expects me to pick "best answer" only. Certainly a weakness of the system.
Thanks, though for answering. It is much appreciated.
