It varies by state. But generally a felon in prison cannot vote, and 48 of the states forbid an ex-felon from voting, even after they are out of prison.
Some state allow ex-felon voting again once they are no longer on parole, some only after jumping through administrative hoops, and some states never allow felons to vote again.

No, once a felonal, you cannot vote until your rights are restored to you. If you are incarcerated the right to vote is taken from you. With new laws I'm really not sure a felony on your record will necessary stop you from voting, but there is rules. Check with the local voter registrator.

Convicted Felons are not allowed to vote. You remain a second class citizen for the rest of your remaining life.

depends on each state some states lets felon vote when they are released while other states let them vote even when they are locked up .the federal bureau of prisons do not allow there inmates to vote nor are they allowed to vote once they are released.

I have to disagree with misspipik, I have a son that is a felon and he will never get to vote, parole or not.

once again coragryph shows how stupid he is. once you are convicted you lose your civil rights. when you are no longer on parole or probation you automatically have your civil rights restored,
