Of course we should, just don't expect us to succeed! No matter how much we care, no matter how much money we spend there will always be ones who fall through the cracks. I don't like it anymore than anyone else to see this in society- it's just not going to happen.

Are we judged by how we take care of the least among us?

Does it include prisoners and people with mental problems?

Homeless people? People who simply lost their home due to plant closings and the like?

What do we do with the least among us?

We do our best and that is good enough.

The only reason someone stays at the bottom in the US is because that's where they want to be. Anyone willing to apply the effort can make something of themselves here.
