Yes. I believe that there is such a thing as an addictive personality and a predisposition to dependence. Drinking is a big one and doesn't seem to be dependent on the behaviours that a child observes but possibly genetic. Yet another chapter in the nature vs nurture debate. Scary.

Good question. I don't really know cause I've done a lot of stuff I'm sure my mom and dad never did, except smoking and my mom quit smoking when I was about 10. My bad influences were my older sisters and brother-in-law. I also had a good friend, a little on the wild side, who was quite a few years older than me. I don't think my parents really contributed to all my past bad habits.

Everybody wants to blame their bad habits on someone else. I was raised in a family that didn't have a whole lot of bad habits. I joined the marine corps when I was 17 teen. I developed my own habits. I have developed my own bad habits. I'm having a good time! I'm 68 years old and can't blame anyone. So whats your problem?

No,

People just like sex so porn is easy for most people to watch. Smoking and drugs and drinking is pushed on you by your friends to be cool and to be part of the group or gang. And it would not be called a habit, it would be called Inherent. But that could not happen. If you never taste beer you would never get addicted to it just like smoking. These things are a choice not inherented.

I think you should give kids credit. If they see their parents mess up they might learn not to become like them. My mother is a drunk and I haven't drunk alcohol at all after seeing the way she was. I think it depends on the person that determines how they turn out. IF the kid is weak, has low self esteem maybe he will be easily influenced.

yes I would say so. My mom smokes at a young age and then so did I. I think that because you have the same type of personality traits as your parents you tend to do some of the same things they did at a young age.

Yes they could. My dad was always training and on a diet, my mother was a model and would always be health wise and how you should look. When I turned 15 it started getting to me, as the years went on it was as if it was all repeating itself, I recognized that I also trained allot and was always checking what I was eating, if I would walk I could hear my mother say to me how to walk and keep my head!! It was hell but I got out of it, sometimes it would hit me in the face but I just push it away!!

But I wouldn't call them bad!!!
