Nope, it is not too early. They have test that can tell you your pregnant within a few days of missing your period. Although i wouldn't unless you are a person that starts on time EVERY month. If you have been stressed lately that could be a reason why you have not started yet. (That has happend to me b4) I would wait at least another week before you decide to buy a test, unless you are just anxious. 1st response is a good choice.

Well since you had your period on aug 14th and it is now sept 18th I think it is safe to test if you have not started your period. Usually you have 28-30 days between your cycles starting on the first day of your period. If you have normal periods. But it still should be between 28-30 days. So it should be safe to test. gl

If your cycle is every 28 days to the tee, you should be able to check now. On the safe side I would puschase the EPT with 2 test sticks just in case you might be doing it too early or you want to verify the first test.

No, it isn't too early. I conceived and took a pregnancy test two weeks afterward and found out. Use a First Response DIGITAL test. They are worth the few extra dollars!!

SMS helpline for pregnant teens
PREGNANT teens like Jane can now turn to a 24-hour SMS helpline called Babes.

PREGNANT teens like Jane can now turn to a 24-hour SMS helpline called Babes.

The service, launched in February this year, started after voluntary welfare organisation Beyond Social Services studied the experiences of 17 hospitals, clinics and volunteer welfare organisations and found that many teenagers don't know what to do when they become pregnant.

Since its launch, the service has received SMSes from 211 people.

Of this number, 64 were from people in genuine need, asking for help on how to get an abortion or how to handle their pregnancy.

The rest included prank calls - those who wanted to know more about sexuality, potential volunteers, and people who wanted to adopt babies.

Beyond has since handled some 22 cases of pregnant teens who had agreed to meet up to get extra help.

Said Mr Gerard Ee, Beyond's executive director: 'We try to gain the trust of the messenger by keeping our responses friendly and reassuring.

'We stress that help is available and we will be with them every step of the way respecting their choices and decisions whatever they may be.'

The service helps the girls deal with various issues such as finding places to stay, getting medical and legal aid, making school arrangements, and patching up relationships.

How necessary is the Babes programme?

Figures from the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports show that in the first eight months of last year, teens made up 66 per cent of single mothers referred to the medical social work department at KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH).

The National Pregnancy Helpline, started in February last year, has teenagers making up a quarter of its callers since its launch until the end of last year.

Teenage abortions here went up from 1,368 in 1998, to 1,626 in 2002. There were 1,485 cases in 2003 - making up 12 per cent of all abortions here.

And about six babies are abandoned here every year.

Lending support to Babes are six other agencies: aLife, KKH, Pregnancy Crisis Service, Tanjong Pagar Family Service Centre, Andrew and Grace Home and Rose Villa.

Teenagers in need of help can contact SMS Babes on 8111-3535 or call the National Pregnancy Helpline on 1800-MUM-TO-BE (1800-686-8623).

you can test it, depending on your body...it may show not pregnant. When I found out I was pregnant, I was at the doctor for a check up, after I caught the flu. Hope this helps.
