Doing a paper and trying to find a reliable source for how many guitar players (any age, any level) there are in the USA and throughout the world.
I know how many guitars are sold (from NAMM statistics) but cant find stats for how many actual guitar players. thanks!

Bad logic here. What do you think guitar players in every nation in the world register with the government or something? lol No way to know even a rough estimate there buddy. And how many guitars sold in the world? Again where is the data base and record keeping for that? lol Start a new paper. One where you can actually gather legit data!

I'd say that for every guitar sold there are perhaps 3 people who are "guitarists"...that's taking into account that people who play quite a bit often own more than one guitar but that not everyone who buys a guitar can actually do anything with it.

i dont know but there would be millions of them including me!!!
I am a lead guitarist in a band. i m 14 playing from 3 yrs. Guitar is my life.

the number of guitar players is forever unknown because everyday someome new is picking up the guitar and learning to play, and every day someone is giving it up too.
