I'm not currently in employment and fear that the CSA might wack me for all the past payments, despite the fact that I did not work.
Also, will the court come after me despite the fact that I wrote to them?
Any UK divorce solicitors or CSA experts out there?

They should whack you honey. Just because you aren't working, doesn't mean your child stops eating. You eat don't you? Who's paying for your food? You have responsibilities. I suggest you go back, get a job and take care of your obligation to this child!
