All your dreams will come true once you've WORKED your way toward them, and the government job will appear once you are QUALIFIED for it a a result of your education.

If you are sincerely interested in a Govt job, I suggest a tour in the military as they get preference in all new hiring. The Navy and Air Force have skill fields that are always in demand within their civilian support organizations, electronics and aircraft repair are always in demand.
If you are looking for other types of employment within the civilian government sector, I would talk to the military recruiters to see what is available within each organization and sign up for a tour in that specialty. It will help you immensely.
