Divide 3/4 km by 15. Then you'll know how many KMs the swimmer swims in 1 minute. Then multiply that number by 12.5 to know how many KMs the swimmer swims in 12.5 minutes.

(.75/15 x 12.5 = 0.625km)

When you start understanding why you perform a mathematical operation, you'll get closer to the point where you no longer have to ask others for help with your math problems. You'll be able to solve them yourself, and, believe it or not, when that happens, your peers will begin coming to you for help.

Here No correct data available...
IF the swimmer swim with conctant acceleration and if his rate of swimming distance constance then can swim 3/8 kms.. if taking account of swimming in pool or river
IF river the distance will be different and it depends on the flow of water.. like that many factors are there

She swims 3/4km in 15 minutes

Thus she does 1/8km every 2 and a half minutes

Multiply 1/8 x 5 = 5/8km

She will swim 5/8 km in 12 and a half minutes

3/4 = .75
Set up a ratio:
.75 kilometers /15 minutes = x kilometers /12.5 minutes
Cross multiply
.75 (12.5) = 15(x)
.75 (12.5)/15 = x
.625 = x

.625 km is your answer
