I thought the movie was pretty cute, basic Hollywood drivel. If you read the book first, beware that the plot in the movie is a little different, especially towards the end.

The movie is better than the book. The book is so boring. It's basically the protagonist complaining the whole time. Note that I said the movie is better than the book, but I didn't say that it was a good movie.
Save your money. Wait til it comes out on DVD and request it from the library. I get all my movies that way. Ppl don't realize that the library has all the movies that Blockbuster has. It just takes waiting a week or 2 longer to receive the videos, but totally free.

It was a good movie not a great one. I liked the book better but the movie has a slightly happier ending

The book is supposed to be really good but I've heard the movie doesn't match up to it.
