Since babies are so small they have much less fluid in them than a adult and therefore would dehydrate much quicker. The signs are
soft spot is sunken in
when you pinch the skin does it stay raised or go flat again, especially on belly
concentrated smelly amber urine
not many wet diapers

This could happen very fast and we parents must be aware at the sings specially after fever, vomit or diarrhea:
-heavy breathing
-depress fontanela (if it is before age 2 when it closes)
-when you press the skin it stays press for a while.
You should try to help stop the symptoms, fever with a bath, dehydration with liquids like pedialite or Gatorade or a milk call LUPA made specially and only for these especial episodes. If nothing happens and thing get out of control, run to the hospital, and talk to the pediatrician so he meets you in emergency if possible

babies can easily become dehydrated, especially if they are suffering from gastro (upset stomach and diarrhoea). A well hydrated baby should have clear sparkly eyes a moist mouth and should seem happy/smiley and otherwise well. A dehydrated baby will be pasty week and wont smile or be as active as usual. If in doubt offer baby some milk or cooled boiled water and see a doctor.
hope this helps :-)

your baby will have dryer nappies than usual and a sunken in fontanel(soft spot on top of head) if your baby has not kept down or drunk at least , depending on the age up to 12mths if your baby has not had at least 40mls an hour she will stay dehydrated, buy some sort of hydralite drink and try that but if she still cant or wont keep it down and is getting very sleepy b4 tomorrow take her to the doctor. good luck

1 of the signs is that the fontanel or the soft spot on top of the head sinks, and as for how long they can go dehydrated its not something i would try, and i advise you if u think ur child maybe dehydrated to take him/her to the doctor/hospital as soon as possible

is not healthy to let a baby get dehydrated. You can tell by feelin the soft spot on top of their head. IT deepens more and feel more like a smalll crater

I think an adult can go 3 days without water, but I highly doubt a baby can last more than a few hours. Their eyes will be sunken in, as well as the other things listed already. They'll be lethargic (which means tired). Get fluids in them ASAP.

A baby can get dehydrated very easily. If your baby seems lethargic or his eyes look sunken, you have to get him to the hospital so that they can begin rehydration right away.
