if bees get sick, they cant make honey, thats how u can tell they are sick in the first place

I believe that the other bees keep them out of the hive to prevent further infection. Bees communicate through smell and feel as well as sight. I'm certainly not an expert, but that is my best educated guess. So, no the honey should not be affected.

bees are extremely clean and inteligent they remove dead bee carcases from the hive and will not defecate inside the hive either so i find it unlikely they as a communal insect would let a sick bee generate honey in the hive.
