I am afraid he is on his way out since you don't know how to cure him and a veterinarian who does know would be ridiculously expensive comapred to the cost of a chameleon. Maybe you can get a healthy one who looks just like this old one.

Hi!
You should find a good reptile vet and take him there.
In the meantime (and even after the vet visit), you can give him Arnica 200K and Symphytum 200K (if your store has only CH dilutions, it's OK too) , mix up a capfull of pellets from each tube in about 1 cup of distilled or spring water in a clean bottle. Shake well and give your lizard a dropper full of the water every hour or so for the first day (stop at night). You will probably have to force his mouth open in order to get the liquid down. Go gently, a few drops are enough, just make sure some of it got in his mouth.
You can also put the same mixture (mix first in about 1 cup of water) into his bath water. Arnica will ease the bruise and Symphytum will help his bones heal. No need to wait for the pellets to dissolve entirely, after a good shaking your remedy should be ready. Keep your bottle in a cool place and it will keep for the duration of the treatment.
If you see he is doing better, it's a sign that you can space the doses you are giving him by mouth (instead of an hour, give it to him 4 times a day) , in four or five days, you should be down to once a day.
I still think that the vet is your best bet (to see if he has internal injuries other than the bruise and possible broken bone).
But if you have no money, Homeopathy is your best bet for now.
You can email me if you need further help. Homeopathic pellets do not cost much and did wonders when our pet Water Dragon broke his hind leg.

Good Luck!

PS: If your store only has Arnica and Symphytum in low dilutions (7-9-15 or 30CH) take what they have and order the 200K
Low dilutions do not work as well but it's better than nothing and this is an emergency.

he has mbd (metabolic bone disease) if he is captive bred and dont mind being handled too much you will have to take him to a vet to get calcium shots. metabolic causes limbs to become useless, swolen twitch for no reason stuff like that. it does sound like it maybe too late but only a trained vet can tell for shure. it is expensive for these shots but there is no such thing as too much for a long time pet. this disease is usually seen in reptiles under 16 months old but even old ones can become ill with it. it is caused by a few things , not enough uvb exposure(artificial or direct sunrays without the obtrusion of screens, plastic, or glass all these filter out uvb rays) no calcium or vitamin supplement, also glass terrariums ore very bad for chameleons. if it does break a bone and has mbd it will have to go to a vet to get fixed but if you cure mbd and they break a bone it can heal on its own.but the way it sound he definitly has metabolic with loss of limb movement and swollen legs.

You dont need to worry. I had a veiled who broke her leg bone and it pussed up really huge. Its called calast. Dont touch it. Dont handle it. You may see him dangle his foot while he's perched. Dont worry. It will heal on its own. The puss will shrink and things shuld go back to normal other than the leg will be weirdly shaped a bit.

It would be more money to get a vets help that it would be to buy a new one. I personaly would take him to the vet and pay the money since I get attached to my animals and buying a new one wouldn't be the same, and would make me sad that I let my pet die when I could of helped it. But if you arent attatched to it, than just buy a new one.

take him to some sort of pet docter, regular vets my not know how to handle this one, so surf the web and find a decent docter for your chamleon. If this is not possible, surf some more and maybe you could even find out how to do it yourself.
